What is it?
Zapier lets you connect Documo with over 7000 popular apps, so you can automate your work and have more time for what matters most, with no code required. Zapier is an automation tool that lets you easily create workflows by linking productivity apps and services together.

How does it work?
Zapier uses a simple trigger and action for creating commands, similar to "if this, then that" commands.

NOTE: The Zapier integration is available for all retail accounts, and only primary reseller accounts (no subaccounts).

Terminology

Trigger: Event that kicks off the automated process - in programming lingo, you can think of it as the "if this happens..." part of the operation

Action: Event that you want to happen automatically - in programming lingo, it's "...then do this" part of the command

Getting Started

-If you don't yet have a Zapier account, go to zapier.com and click 'Sign up'
-Once you're signed up with Zapier, click your initials, then 'Integrations' in the Documo portal. Click 'More info' to learn more, or 'Set up' to retrieve your API key:

-Next, sign into your Zapier account and select the apps tab on the left. Then, search Documo, and click connect:

-Paste your Documo API key into Zapier and click 'Yes, Continue':

Now you are ready to create Zaps!

Creating Zaps

In this section, we will show you how to create a few common Zaps. This is NOT an exhaustive list of all Zaps you are able to create.

Trigger: Fax Received, Action: Add a Row to a Google Spreadsheet

This Zap allows a row to be added to your selected Google Spreadsheet with the information you choose each time you receive a fax to your Documo number.

-In Zapier, click 'Create', then 'Zaps':

-Click 'Trigger', then select Documo and the 'Fax Received' Event:

-Under the 'Account' tab, select the account associated with your API key:

-Lastly, test your trigger:

-Once this has successfully been tested, click 'Action', and select Google Sheets:

-Select the 'New Spreadsheet Row' Event:

-On the 'Account' tab, connect your Google account to Zapier, and select the account the spreadsheet is under:

-Select the spreadsheet and worksheet you want new fax line items to be entered:

-Lastly, test your trigger:

Trigger: Fax Received, Action: File Uploaded to Google Drive

This Zap allows you to have your fax attachments uploaded automatically to Google Drive when you receive a fax to your Documo number.

-In Zapier, click 'Create', then 'Zaps':

-Click 'Trigger', select the Documo app, and select the 'Fax Received' Event:

-In the 'Account' tab, select the account linked to your API key:

-Lastly, test your Trigger:

-Next, click 'Action', and select Google Drive:

-Select the 'Upload File' Event:

-Select your Google Drive Account:

-Edit the fields under the 'Action' tab to customize your document's information:
Drive: Your Google Drive account
Folder: The folder in Google Drive you want your attachments to upload to
File: The attachment from your fax
Convert to Document?: Whether you want it to be converted to an editable document
File Name: What you want your file to be named in your Google Drive folder
File Extension: If you want anything to be added after the file name
Ex. PDF (do not add the . in the extension name)

-Lastly, test your Action, and click 'Publish':

Trigger: Label Emails, Action: Send Fax

This Zap automatically sends a fax each time an email is labeled with the selected label.

-In Zapier, click 'Create', then 'Zaps':

-Click 'Trigger', select Gmail, and select the 'New Labeled Email' Event:

-Connect your Gmail account to Zapier, and select it under the 'Account' tab:

-Select the Gmail label you would like to use:

-Lastly, test your trigger:

-Next, click 'Action' and select Documo, and select the 'Send Fax' Event:

-Select your Documo account on the 'Account' tab:

-In the 'Action' tab, fill out the fields:
Fax Number: The number you want your faxes to be sent to when the label is added to an email (be sure to add the country code)
Include Cover Page: Whether you want a cover page sent
Tags: Choose tags to add to the fax
Attachments: Add the attachment(s) you want to send with the fax

-Lastly, test your Action:

Trigger: New Folder in Google Drive, Action: Create Folder in mDrive

This Zap allows any folder created in Google Drive folder to also be added to mDrive.

-In Zapier, click 'Create', then 'Zaps':

-Click 'Trigger', select Google Drive, then select the 'New Folder' Event:

-Then, select your Google Drive account:

-Next, choose the Google Drive folder you want to use:

-Lastly, test your trigger:

-Click 'Action', select Documo, and select the 'Create Folder' Event:

-Then, choose the Documo account associated with your API key:

-Next, select the value for what you want your new folders to be named, and if you want new folders to go straight to 'My Storage' in mDrive, leave Folder Location blank. If you want it to go into a specific folder in mDrive, select the folder name:
