This article will show you how to configure automatic user provisioning via SCIM for Okta.
It is possible to setup the integration for both the parent account and/or its subaccounts and departments. If setting up user provisioning for a subaccount or department, these instructions should be followed for each desired account. For example, if you would like to provision users in 2 departments in Documo, follow these instructions for each of the 2 departments.
Prepare Documo Account
Prepare the targetted Documo account by performing the following:
Ensure account settings have Allow SAML 2.0 set to Allow.
Create an admin user.
Create an API key for the admin user in the targetted Documo account. Record this API key for later as you will need it to configure the integration in Okta.
Install Application in Okta
Install the Documo Application in Okta by performing the following:
1. From your Applications page in Okta, browse the app catalog.
2. Search for Documo and select the official Documo integration.
3. Add the integration to your account.
Configure Application in Okta
Configure the Documo Application for user provisioning in Okta by:
Navigate to the Documo application.
On the Sign On tab, set the Application Username Format setting to Email.
3. On the Provisioning tab, start configuring the API integration.
a. Check the Enable API integration checkbox
b. Enter your API key created from earlier steps
c. Run Test API Credentials
d. Save the configuration.
NOTE: If the error “SSO is not enabled” appears, please ensure that the Documo account has Allow SAML 2.0 set to Allow.
6. Enable the desired provisioning features.
Assign Users in Okta
Once the Documo application in Okta is configured above, users can be assigned to it. Once assigned, users are automatically provisioned in the Documo account associated with the API key created and configured earlier.
