This article will help you setup your SIP gateway forwarded numbers.
First, you will need a support team member to allow number forwarding on your account.
Next, navigate to the numbers tab, click provisioning, then under provision type, select forward:
Then, type in the number that you want to SIP forward including +1 at the beginning, then click 'create number(s)':
On your end, you will need to complete several steps before this number will begin working in Documo.
First, you will need to whitelist the DNS in this format: m+youraccountnumber.vsbc.documo.com. For example, if your account number is 1234567890, the DNS you would need to whitelist is m1234567890.vsbc.documo.com.
Next, there are 4 ports available to drive how the session is managed, and you will need to set up one of the following on your end:
port 5561 is the Documo preferred endpoint which supports G.711 and T.38
port 5562 is G.711 with fallback to T.38
port 5563 is T.38 required
port 5567 is G.711 only
Lastly, you will need to send the IP address from which your traffic comes from to support@documo.com. We will whitelist these IP addresses on our end.
Note for Skyetel customers: Skyetel manages your number(s), so you do not have to set up anything on your end. Simply add your number to the portal using the steps above, and you will be good to go!
Note: We have extremely limited to no ability to troubleshoot or resolve certain inbound issues because of the lack of visibility and control we have in this scenario. If you need further troubleshooting, please have a PCAP with audio/media streams ready for our support team.
